Life Underground

This is a photo of one in a series of bronze sculptures in the 14th Street and Eighth Avenue subway station in Manhattan called Life Underground. They were created by an artist named Tom Otterness in the year 2000.

They are scattered throughout the station, on both the L-train platform, the A/C/E-train platforms, and the councourse in between.

It's nice to have them to look at while you are waiting for the train.

I shot these on my way home tonight. It's Tuesday, and the weather has cooled off quite a bit. Autumn is in the air.
